Valley Bible Pre-school

 

Classes are held each Monday and Wednesday

AM class: 8:30-11:15

PM class: 11:45-2:30

Age: 3 ½ by August 31st of each year and potty trained.
 

Valley Bible Pre-school is currently in the middle of 2017/18 session. We will start the 2018/19 session on Monday, October 1st. There is an AM class and a PM class. The AM class begins sessions at 8:30-11:15, and the PM class begins sessions at 11:45-2:30. Both classes meet 2 days a week, each Monday and Wednesday except for district planned holiday or weather closures/delays. Monthly Bible Verse for April 2018 is John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The children practice the verse each day at class.

Supplies needed for the school year will be: 1 pair of safety scissors (that your child is comfortable using), 1 box of *8 ONLY crayons, 1 large glue stick, and  1 painting shirt (an old t-shirt works that is at  least 2 sizes larger than your child, to help cover clothing. ) Please write your child's name on all belongings with a sharpie.

 

Each family will be asked to bring snacks for all the children in the class once every 10 days of class. This can be simple or elaborate, your choice! However, all food needs to be store bought to meet health department standards.  Teacher Becky will go over this also at the Open House. 

 

Open House will be held on Tuesday, September 18th at Valley Bible Church. If your child is enrolled in the AM class, please arrive anytime between 9-10:30. If your child is enrolled in the PM class, please arrive anytime between 11:00-12:30 . There will be enrollment forms to fill in and the children will view the classroom and facility with a parent and teacher. Please bring an updated immunization record to place in the child's file. Registration fee for the year will be due for $25.00 on that day and payable to: Valley Bible Preschool.

Teacher Becky Erickson has taught preschool for 35 years as of this past fall 2016. She started her private preschool program in the fall of 1981 at her home.  When the new Valley Bible Church was built the preschool was moved to the site and has continued on at the church  since then.

Mission: to teach and show the children an awareness of God the father, Jesus the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit; to encourage academic and social growth in the children through activities that help promote self-awareness, self- confidence and to develop a desire for learning. We believe that all children are a gift from God and that we as instructors and mentors have the duty to encourage them in all aspects of their development.

A Typical Day includes:

• Table time learning/Bible verse review

• Small group activity time

• Circle meeting time (children have classroom jobs; songs; ABC time;)

• Chapel time each Monday: songs/bible story

• Show and Tell time each Wednesday

• Healthy snacks

• Game time/large group time

Field trips are held on a regular basis and require the parents to drive their children. Popular destinations include the Local Fire Department and the Post Office.
